Adding an App. Status

This section describes how to add a status to the App. Status Setup. All custom statuses will have a base status of one of the defaults available in our system (Approved, Canceled, Closed, Exception, Incomplete, Pending).

  1. Click "App. Status" next to the App. Status Setup you want to add to on the App. Status Setup page (or click the link on Step 2 from the "Adding a new App. Status Setup" guide)
  2. Click "Add"
  3. Step 1: "Basic"
    1. Name the status
      1. Either name it the same as the base status or provide a custom name
        1. ex. "Assigned to Staff", "Inspections Complete", "Returned to Applicant"
    2. Choose a base status
      1. Approved
        1. Approved implies these date/times are set: Submitted, Approved
      2. Canceled
        1. Canceled implies these date/times are set: Canceled
        2. Canceled applications will not show as options to renew.
      3. Closed
        1. Closed implies these date/times are set: Closed
      4. Exception
        1. Exception implies these date/times are set: Held
        2. Held applications will not show as options to renew.
      5. Incomplete
        1. Incomplete implies these date/times are NOT set: Submitted, Approved
        2. Incomplete also implies no signatures, so moving back to Incomplete will remove signatures.
        3. Incomplete applications will not show options to renew.
      6. Pending
        1. Pending implies these date/times are set: Submitted
        2. Pending is when signatures are obtained.
        3. Pending applications will not show as options to renew.
    3. Set the Access Control List
      1. Setting the Access Control for a status will determine which users are able to access the Application while the Application is in that status
  4. Step 2: "Notify Default?"
    1. Choose whether or not you want default notifications to send for this status
      1. Yes: Will always send the default notification
      2. No: Will never send the default notification
      3. Inherit: Will send based on the current system setting in Administration
  5. Click "Save & Exit"


Adding a Rule

This section describes how to add a rule to the App. Status Setup. Rules will determine when to automatically move an Application from one status to the next. Not all statuses need to have a rule but the ones that don't will have to be manually moved to by an employee from within the application.

  1. Click "Rules" next to the App. Status Setup you want to add to on the App. Status Setup page (or click the link on Step 3 from the "Adding a new App. Status Setup" guide)
  2. Click "Add"
  3. Step 1: "Basic"
    1. Choose which status to move the application from
    2. Choose which status to move the application to
    3. Choose what triggers the move from App. Status A to App. Status B
  4. Step 2: "Trigger Options"
    1. The fields available on this step will vary based on what you choose for the trigger on the previous step but also have instructions based on what information needed
    2. Please contact Support@rtvision.com for specific questions on this step
  5. Step 3: "Notify Default?"
    1. Choose whether or not you want default notifications to send for this status
      1. Yes: Will always send the default notification
      2. No: Will never send the default notification
      3. Inherit: Will send based on the current system setting in Administration
  6. Click "Save & Exit"



Adding a Dialog

This section covers how to add a dialog. A dialog will allow a user to move an application from one status to another by clicking an icon on the dashboard page. Examples include an applicant being able to cancel a pending review application or an employee moving an application from Active to Filed.
