Cloud Connector
The RTVision Cloud Connector securely bridges the gap between RTVision’s cloud-based applications and the on-premises systems they integrate with.
In the past, our on-prem appliances were installed directly within your network, allowing them to communicate freely with other internal services. As we transition to cloud-hosted applications, that same direct access is no longer possible — which is where the Cloud Connector comes in.
The Cloud Connector is a secure, lightweight proxy service that runs inside your network. It enables your RTVision cloud applications to connect to approved internal services — such as iSeries or Microsoft SQL Server — without requiring you to expose those systems to the internet. Your critical services remain safely within your private network, while RTVision applications continue to function seamlessly.
The Cloud Connector is installed using a simple MSI installer (Linux support available upon request). During setup, you’ll configure connection details such as port, IP address, FQDN, and authorization parameters to ensure secure and controlled access.
