How to reset a password
Instructions on how to reset your own password and the password of another user
Resetting Your Own Password
- Click "Login" in the top right
- Click "Forgot your password?"
- Enter the email account that you used to sign up for the account
- Check for an email from RTVision for a link to re set your password
- If you don't see an email, be sure to check your Junk or Spam folder
- Enter a new password
- Log in using the new password
Resetting a User's Password
By following these instructions, the user will receive an email with a new temporary password. Upon first logging in with the new password, the user will be prompted to change their password.
- Click "Administration" under the "User" tab
- Click "Public Users" if the user is a public user or "Employees" if the user is an employee
- Find the user in the list and click "Modify" next to their account
- Click on the step labeled "Actions"
- Enter a new password in the "Temporary Password" field
- Ensure that the drop down under "Notify 'user's email'" is set to "Yes"
- This setting will decide whether or not to send an email to the user including a message stating that the password was changed and what the temporary email is
- Click "Set temporary password"
