How to Setup Vendor Templates

For each new vendor that sends in an invoice, a vendor template can be set up. This will only need to be done once for each vendor unless they change their template.

To set up a new template:

  1. Go to the invoice by clicking on ‘Details’.

  2. Click ‘Process PDF’ (this is the screen used to create the Template). There are 3 fields that need to be set up in the template:

    1. Invoice number

    2. Invoice Date

    3. Invoice Total

  3. Use the green highlighter to select the number, date, and amount.

    1. Be sure to encompass the entire field.

  4. Select ‘Capture Selection’ – which is telling the application what field you captured.

    1. Do this for the Invoice Number, Invoice Date, and Invoice Total.

  5. Click ‘Create Template’ to save the template.

    1. ‘Captured Text’ will show you what fields have been captured.

  6. Click ‘Back to Invoice’.

For future invoices, the invoice number, date, and total will be pulled in.
