Inspections: Equipment and Contractors

Tracking Equipment used and Contractors Working is a vital step in the day-to-day operations of construction management. The Inspection module has the ability to track these independently, or dependently, based on the needs of each agency, or their preferences.

Adding Equipment Use:

  1. In the Contract Menu, click Inspections.

    1. This will automatically show today’s date - optionally navigate to a different date if needed.

  2. In the Inspection Module, click 'Equipment'.

  3. Click ‘+Add’.

  4. If the contract is a multi-project contract, there is the option to select a particular project for this equipment or the field can be left blank to apply to all.

  5. The Added and Removed dates automatically fill into today’s date and time stamp. Adjust as needed.

  6. Type in, or select from the dropdown, the Equipment Name.

    1. If a piece of equipment has already been added, it will show in a drop-down menu for the convenience of re-use.

  7. Click ‘Save’.

Adding Contractors:

  1. In the Contract Menu, click ‘Inspections’.

    1. This will automatically show today’s date - optionally navigate to a different date if needed.

  2. In the Inspection Module, click ‘Contractors’.

  3. Click ‘+Add’.

  4. If the contract is a multi-project contract, there is the option to select a particular project for this contractor or the field can be left blank to apply to all.

  5. The Started and Stopped dates automatically fill into today’s date and time stamp. Adjust as needed.

  6. Select the Contractor from the drop-down.

    1. If the Contractor is not listed, the organization may need to be added/modified/synced to the OneOffice site.

  7. Type in, or select from the dropdown, the Classification.

  8. Click ‘Save’.

Additional Options/Settings:

  1. A package can be installed to tie equipment and contractors together.

  2. Instead of tracking a date/time for added/removed or start/stop, the number of hours can be manually entered.

  4. Track contractor personnel classification and counts by installing the package for ‘conractor-personnel-tracking’.
