Sentry Monitoring

Sentry is a monitoring tool that provides reports on any errors encountered on sites, as well as poor-performing pages that may be impacting user experience. These error logs and reports provide benefit to agencies in a couple of ways:

  1. Even if an error is not reported to RTVision Support, RTVision is able to see if an error occurred or if there are performance issues on specific pages. This provides the ability for RTVision to be more proactive in supporting our customers.

  2. If a user reports an issue to RTVision Support, RTVision can check the error log to see technical details about the error and the exact steps or process the user had taken to more easily recreate the error. Often times errors are difficult to replicate and this will aid in the process to more quickly review and correct the problem.

Each agency can opt in/out of Sentry logging, and can change the selection at any time in the Administration System Settings, under Application Settings>Sentry. If an agency opts in, any errors from the site will be reported to RTVision.
