RFIs and Submittals
RFIs and Submittals can be added by contractors, through ConneX. Once added, the project owner can get notified of these and respond after optional internal discussion.
To setup initial project responsders for RFI and Submittals:
Click on ‘Details’ next to the select contract.
Select ‘Contract and Project Details’ from the Contract Menu, then ‘Edit’ the Contract Details
Select one or multiple RFI and Submittal responders. These individuals will get notified when a new RFI or Submittal is added in ConneX and can setup additional internal responders. These individuals can also provide a final response and change the status of the RFI and/or submittal.
Click ‘Save’.
To review/edit/respond to a RFI:
In the Contract Menu, click on ‘RFIs’.
Click on ‘Details’ next to the RFI.
In the ‘Persons’ section, add additional responders if necessary.
In the Correspondence section, type messages based upon type:
Internal messages will go to those who are setup as ‘responders’ and ‘additional responders'.
Followup messages will go to the ‘requestor' or ‘additional requestors’. All contractor (requestor) responses will be visible to the project owner.
Final messages are marked as the final response
Optionally attach a message by clicking on the paper clip icon.
Click on the arrow icon to send/save the message entry.
If a contract change is created as a result, click on ‘Add’ under the Result Changes section to tie the RFI/Submittal to a contract change.
To edit the RFI/Submittal and/or change the status, click on ‘Edit’ under the RFI or Submittal summary.
