Uploading A Geometry File as an Overlay for the Contract Map

Open the Contract Menu linked to your Contract.

Select Map Config, then upload a geometry file to add one or more layers to the map. This will need to be in a .zip file format. It should include the following:

• .shp: The main binary file storing the geographic feature geometry.

• .shx: The index file that links the geometry and the attributes.

• .dbf: The database table holding attribute data for each shape in dBase format.

• .prj: An optional text file specifying the coordinate system and projection information.

• Other optional files: Include spatial indexes (.sbn, .sbx) and metadata (.xml)

  • We support ESRI and KMZ shapefile formats

After the upload is complete, the layers are available for configuration and use in the project. To configure a shapefile, select its dropdown menu and choose ‘Edit’. This opens options to update the layer name, layer fields, and critical fields.

From here, the map will display the newly added layers and geometry changes.
