Setup Request for Time Functionality

The Request for Time can be used to have time off or working hours approved by a supervisor, to then automatically show on the timecard as an entry. For most customers, setup is a quick change to the Labor Codes that should be available on the request. To set up the selections that will be available by an employee:

First, verify that the appropriate labor codes have been set up for selection:

  1. While in ‘Administration’, select the ‘Labor Codes’ tab.

  2. Click ‘Modify’ next to each applicable labor code that would need to show for selection.

  3. Verify/Set that the ‘Show in “Request for Time”’ field is set to ‘Yes’.

It can then also be determined if the employees should see the ‘Time Off Calendar’. This shows which employees are approved for time off each day. This can also be set to only show for supervisors.

  1. While in ‘Administration’, select the ‘System Settings' tab.

  2. Modify ‘TIME_OFF_CALENDAR_FOR_EMPLOYEES ' setting to 'Yes’ to show for all employees.

When a time-off request is approved by employees and supervisors, it is added to the employee's timesheet. If the employee should be able to modify that timesheet entry for the day.
