Enter Static Messages for Employees to View

Static Messages are a way to relay information to timecard users. Enter a message that the employee will see and must acknowledge receipt of, the next time that the user logs into their timecard. To set up and use Static Messages:

  1. While in ‘Administration’ select the ‘System Settings’ tab.

  2. Find and select ‘Modify’ next to the 'STATIC_MESSAGES' field.

  3. The default for this setting is ‘No’. Change this to ‘Yes’ to enable.

  4. Click ‘Change this Setting’ to save.

  5. A new tab will appear in Administration called ‘Static Messages’; click on this tab.

  6. To add a static message, click ‘Add Static Message’.

  7. Enter the subject of the message, as well as the message.

  8. Select one or more employees that will receive this message. Selecting ‘all’ is also an option.

  9. Click on ‘Add this Static Message’. Once added, the selected users will see the message the next time they log into the timecard application and they must acknowledge receipt of the message before they can continue to the timecard.
