Add Composite Equipment
Composite equipment allows agencies to set up equipment that is tied to other equipment pieces. For example, if a Grader is selected, and specific add-on equipment like a blade should always be used, the Grader can be added with composite equipment added. This allows the user to only select the primary piece of equipment and all add-on equipment automatically prefills or populates to the time entry form.
While in ‘Administration’ select 'System Settings.
Find and select ‘Modify’ next to the COMPOSITE_EQUIPMENT field.
Change the ‘Current Value' to ‘Yes’ to enable the field.
Next, select the ‘Equipment tab’.
‘Add’ or ‘Modify’ equipment entries to include add-on or composite equipment.
The ‘Equipment Name’ will be the primary Equipment that the user will need to select in order for the composite equipment to autofill the time entry form.
The same piece of equipment may show with and without composite equipment, verify the rates are updated accordingly.
Click a checkbox next to the composite equipment to tie to the main piece of equipment
Select Yes, if the quantity should be set manually or No if the composite equipment will be automatically set to the same quantity as the main piece of equipment.
