Maintenance Projects

All Chemspro projects are Maintenance Projects

NewRoads can have Maintenance Projects in conjunction with Engineering Projects, typical NewRoads Maintenance Projects might be plow routes, special county maintenance work that needs to be billed out over several roads without a road selection, etc... NewRoads has the option to automatically split these project costs over one or multiple roads without the road being selected on the timesheet.

Manually adding:

  1. While in ‘Administration’ click on the ‘Projects’ tab.

  2. Click ‘Add Project’.

  3. Fill in the ‘Project Number’.

  4. Fill in the ‘Project Description/Location’.

    1. Typically the description/location is a name the employee would recognize if they do not know the project number but it can be anything.

  5. Optional: ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date’, these are only for reference when looking at this project screen.

  6. The ‘Project Types’ field can be used to note different types of projects on this screen. This does not display anywhere else in the application.

  7. Select if the project ‘Is Billable’.

  8. Select the ‘Customer’

    1. A N/A customer can be set up if a customer is not applicable by following these instructions if one is not already available.

  9. Do not enter an ‘Engineering Template'.

  10. Click ‘Add this Project’ to save.

  11. Next click the ‘Maintenance Projects' tab in 'Administration’.

  12. Click ‘Modify’ next to the new project.

  13. Select the activities that are available for this project.

  14. Click the ‘Modify this Maintenance Project’ button to save.

Limit Activities Available for the New maintenance Project:

  1. From ‘Administration’ click on the ‘Maintenance Projects’ tab.

  2. Select ‘Modify’ next to the project.

  3. Select the applicable activities.

    1. This is also where the Project Sub Group can be selected.

  4. Click ‘Modify this Maintenace Project’ to save.
