Export to New Roads - AS400/iSeries
Please follow these instructions to setup the System DSN Connection on the IIS Server that is running the OneOffice site. This DSN Connection is used to export Pay Requests from OneOffice or Highway Time Card Data into the ACS system. There is no license required for the iSeries Client and you will not need to reboot the server during this process. If you have any questions or problems, please contact RtVision Support by email at support@rtvision.com or by phone at 320.632.0760.
If the OneOffice program is already exporting pay requests to the ACS system, then the iSeries Client Access for Windows has already been installed on the server and you may skip the installation (1) and continue with the configuration (2) of the System DNS connection. If, however, you do not see the IBM iSeries Driver in the list (step 2), you will need to complete the Client Installation step first:
- iSeries Client Installation:
Run the install program for the I-Series access for Windows on the web server. These are located on the AS400 at the following path, if you cannot locate the installation CD (you may have to copy the file/folder locally to install):
\\IPAddressorMachineName\QIBM\Proddata\CA400\Express\Install\Image\Setup.exe
- Chose a Custom Installation and only install the ODBC Component of the Client Access. (You will have to install the required components as well).
- If you get a message requesting a reboot of the machine, you may disregard it.
- Create and configure the System DNS connection:
- Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Data Sources (ODBC). Select the System DSN Tab and click the Add Button.
- Choose the IBM iSeries Driver and click Finish.
- Enter the following information when adding the DSN:
- Data Source Name: ACS
- AS400 System: IP Address of the AS400 machine
- Click the Server tab and enter SQL Default Library: NRSDTA
This is the default library name for the Highway Data, if the county/city is using a different library name (NRSDTA?), please enter it here.
You can test the ACS Integration by visiting http://localhost/RtAEC/Test/t_acs_export.asp from Internet Explorer on the server. This should display a page with the results of a “test” integration.
