How to add a Geometry field to a table

If you need to add a Geometry field to a table you can find the instructions below.

 

  1. From the Admin home screen select Zones

  2. Find (or create) which Zone you would like to use then click Options -> Tables

  3. From the Zones / [your zone] Tables screen, find (or create) which table you would like to add the geometry field to

  4. Next click on Options -> Modify

  5. On this screen you will want to make sure that under Flags you have mayMap in the list
    i. Please note that if mayMap is not listed under Flags you will revive an error

  6. After confirming Step 5 click save

  7. Then click the back button

  8. You will find yourself back on the Zones / [your zone] Tables screen. Again, find the table you want to add the geometry field to and select Options->Fields

  9. You will find yourself on the Zones / [your zone] Tables / [your table] Fields page. From here select the Add Field button

  10. On the Add Field page fill out all the required text boxes

  11. Once you reach the Data Type selection list choose a data type with geo: to select one of the Geometry data types

  12. Upon completion of the form select Save at the bottom of the screen. You will receive a message saying the save was successful

  13. Next scroll to the bottom of the screen again and click the button Implement Field. You will receive a notice saying the field has been implemented

  14. Next scroll back to the top of the screen. You will see a notice that says, “A change has been made that requires the app to be reloaded”. Click the Reload button

  15. The new field will now be in the table
