Public Dashboard Messages

Messages can be added to the public dashboard as a way to:

  • Add bidding instructions.

  • Add project notice information, detour information, or any other information for the general public.

  • Add questions and responses for bidders.

  • Attach general information on the contract.

  • Attach the Ad for Bid.

  • Provide documents for winning contractors.

Messages can be added with a number of different access rights.

  • Authenticated: any user that is logged in.

  • Consultant: any user whose organization is set up as a consultant on the contract.

  • Contractor: the awarded contractor on the contract.

  • Plan Holder: a user/organization set up as a Plan Holder on the contract.

  • Public: any public user who views your OneOffice site if you have the contract set to “show on public dashboard”.

To Add a Message:

  1. Go to the Contract Menu for a selected contract.

  2. Click on ‘Messages’ from the Contract Menu.

  3. Click on ‘Add’.

  4. Enter the Subject, Message, and add any attachments to the message.

  5. Determine what access ‘Restriction’ should be used for the message.

  6. Click on ‘Save’.

  7. Email notifications will be sent once the message is added.

The contract must be setup to ‘Show on the Public Dashboard' in order for the Messages to also show on the Public Dashboard.

On the Contract details page, select or remove the checkbox called “Show on Public Dashboard” to hide/show the contract from public dashboard view.
