Create/Edit/Delete a Request for Time

Using Request for Time is not required, nor is it an all-or-nothing process. Contact the supervisor for how/when the Request for Time form should be used.

Creating a New Request for Time:

  1. From the ‘Time’ tab, select ‘Request for Time’.

  2. Navigate to the pay period the request would be for.

  3. If there are multiple timesheets available, they can be switched by using the drop-down labeled ‘Request for Time:’

    1. This is also where a NEW request sheet would be selected if there is already an approved request for the same pay period.

  4. Enter the hours under the applicable hour type.

  5. By default, the box to approve the request will be selected.

  6. Click ‘Save’ to sign and submit the request to the supervisor.

Supervisors will get an email notification of the request, they can then approve, edit, or deny the request. The employee will get a notification of their decision regardless of what the decision was.

Once fully approved, the request will automatically be applied to the timesheet.

Editing/Deleting an Approved Request:

To edit an approved request for time the supervisor must remove their approval from the request.

  1. Once unlocked, under the ‘Time’ tab select ‘Request for Time’.

  2. Navigate to the correct pay period.

  3. Use the ‘Request for Time:’ drop-down to select the correct request.

  4. Remove the employee approval to make changes, or click ‘Delete Request for Time’ at the bottom to delete the entire request.

  5. If editing, change the hours needed and sign/reapprove the request for the supervisor to review.
