Optional: Time Clock Utility

 

  1. To utilize the time clock function, go to System Settings in Administration, in the Setting ‘Show_Time_Clock’.

  2. Enable this setting to allow users to manually select start and stop times, or ‘enable it with realtime clock in/out’ in order to use a ‘punch clock’ type entry where the exact time is automatically noted. Click on ‘Change this Setting’.

  3. On the employee timecard, a radio button for Time Clock will show

  4. Use the clock in/clock button to record actual start and stop times throughout the day to track what time the employee was actually on the job. (If using the Manual option, ‘Add Time’ will allow the user to manually enter the start stop time).

  5. On the employee Approval Details page, the time entries will show to compare against project and activity logs.

 

*Note - this does not affect time entries ,i.e. hours worked. This is separate tracking, as if you were to punch in/out on a separate machine. You still need to track either number or hours or start/stop times for each entry on the timesheet (depending on what method you use).
