App Group/Type Fees

There are two areas to create or update a fee in OneGov depending on if they are specific to a single App. Type or to the whole App. Group:

To Create/Update a fee in the App. Group:

  1. Click “Administration” under the “User” tab at the top of the page.

  2. Click “App Groups” in the “General” section.

  3. Click “Manage” next to the App. Group.

  4. Click "Fees" near the top of the page.

To Create/Update a fee for a specific App. Type:

  1. Click “Administration” under the “User” tab at the top of the page.

  2. Click “App Groups” in the “General” section near the top of the page.

  3. Click “Manage” next to the App. Group that contains the permit type the fee is to be added to.

  4. Click “Manage” next to the application.

  5. Click "Fees" near the top of the page

To Create/Update the fee:

  1. Click "Add Fee" or select “Modify”.

  2. Fill out the fields:

    1. Enter a name for the fee.

    2. Enter any instructions that go along with the fee.

    3. Enter the amount of the fee.

    4. Choose the fee type:

      • Administrative fees are only available to be added to an invoice by Fee Administrators.

      • Forced fees will be charged on every application.

      • Optional fees can be chosen to be applied by the applicant.

      • Triggered fees are only added to applications by a Rule/Action when its Condition is met.

      • A Cost is a normal fee.

      • A Deposit may either be treated as a normal fee or paid initially, with the rest split into another invoice to be paid at a later date:

        • They may be refunded by Fee Administrators.

      • A Discount will have its Amount deducted from the Total Charge instead of added.

      • A Refund may be used by Fee Administrators to return Deposits or other amounts. The Amount field is not used for refunds.

    5. Choose whether or not the fee should be taxable.

    6. Choose if a Late fee should apply to this fee.

    7. For App. Type Fees Only: Set the Default quantity for the fee:

      1. Can either be 1 or based on a numeric data type so that you can create calculated fees.

    8. Set the quantity of the fee:

      1. This allows either an administrator or applicant to be able to set the quantity of the fee themselves.

    9. Choose if the fee is valid:

      1. This will allow you to hide the entry without actually deleting it.

  3. Click "Add this Fee" or “Save and Exit”.
