AWS (Amazon Web Services)

Through Amazon Web Services (AWS), RTVision is able to provide a fast, reliable, redundant, and secure hosting environment using: EC2 for computing, EFS for storage and RDS for database (in the US-West region).

AWS EC2 (elastic compute cloud) web service commits to 99.95% availability through a secure hosting environment; and update downtime is minimal. Customer sites have auto-scaling and load balancing, providing redundancy and scale. In addition, AWS data center and network architecture meet the security requirements of some of the most sensitive organizations.

AWS EFS (elastic file storage) provides automatic scaling for file system capacities and is designed for high durability and availability, at minimal rates. In addition, EFS file system has redundancy across multiple availability zones.

AWS RDS (relational database services) is a cost-efficient and highly scalable database service that allows RTVision to provide pricing tiers based upon customer database size and needs.  RDS provides fast computing with 1Gbps bandwidth, and no overage charges.  For backup redundancy, full database backups are run nightly to an offsite (off AWS) SOC2 data center.  If a customer wishes to download a backup to their location, a monthly download is included in the hosting fees.  More frequent downloads of backup files are possible, but additional download fees may apply based upon the size of the database.  All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
