Unlinking Higher Labor Classes to Equipment Rates

Higher Labor Classes can be used to record a temporary or project-related higher rate of pay for activities like 'working out of class', or projects related to FEMA work.  Higher labor classes can be set up for both labor and equipment rates; however, if an employee selects a higher labor class on the timesheet then the application will look for the same higher labor class in both the Hourly Rate table and the Equipment Rate table.

Example: Higher labor class 'FEMA' is selected on the timesheet so employee rates and equipment rates tied to higher labor class 'FEMA' will be used.  If none exist then no rate will be pulled into Road & Bridge reports

  1. While in ‘Administration’ select the ‘System Settings’ tab.

  2. Find the ‘ENABLE_EQUIPMENT_RATE_LABOR_CLASS' field and select 'Modify’.

  3. Change the ‘Current Value to ‘No’.

    1. This setting is enabled by default.

  4. Select ‘Change this Setting’ to save.
