Modifying Item Transactions

Whether or not the transaction is paid for (posted) will determine how the entry is modified. Once a transaction is paid it can still be modified but it cannot be removed.

To Modify a Posted (Paid) Transaction:

  1. Go to ‘Item Record Account’ and select the item that needs to be modified.

  2. Click on ‘Transactions’.

  3. Here there are a few options:

    1. Click on ‘Adjust’ next to the transaction to reduce the quantity.

      1. Adjustments are for correcting an entry by reducing what was already paid.

      2. If an adjustment was made, the decrease in quantity will be pulled into an upcoming payment, based upon the date range.

    2. Click on ‘Modify’ if any information needs to be added or changed for the transaction.

    3. To add an additional quantity to the item.

      1. Select the ‘Add Transaction’ button and add the quantity to the date desired.

  4. Save changes.

To Modify an Open (Unpaid) Transaction:

  1. Go to ‘Item Record Account’ and select the item that needs to be modified.

  2. Click on ‘Transactions’.

  3. Click on ‘Modify’ if any information needs to be changed or added to the transaction, then save the changes.

  4. Optionally, users can also modify transactions from the ‘Open Transactions’ section of the Item Record Account.

Transactions can be deleted as long as they are unpaid.
